The girls (Mom, my niece, and her 9 month-old baby) picked me up from the airport this morning. After ordering me to get in the driver’s seat, we headed east and 3 hours later arrived at Lake Wenatchee National Park. While the ladies explored the facilities I waited outside and ran into the park ranger. I forgot how attractive men in the Northwest are. I asked the thick, blue eyed, blond haired lumberjack how bad the mosquitos were. He said, “Bad. Really bad.” I acted tough and said, “Eh, nothing a little OFF won’t cure.” He then pointed out the giant bug crawling on my shoulder. I calmly walked over to Mom and asked her to remove it… She flicked it into my face.
