When it comes to politics I’m the last person you’d want running your campaign. My disinterest in the subject has led to a complete lack of knowledge— I couldn’t tell you the difference between senate and congress, and frankly, don’t care. Politics bore me. However, I understand the importance of voting and will pay enough attention to know which presidential candidate best supports my interests. As a gay man it’s only obvious that I’d vote for the one who supports equal rights and promises the best future for me—and that’s clearly not Romney.
After our date, I was texting the Pepperdine dude when I discovered that he was voting for Romney. It blew my mind that a 21 year-old, out and proud, educated homosexual would vote for someone who didn’t believe in equal rights. He said that he was voting republican for fiscal reasons (he comes from money). I don’t understand how a gay would think that money is more important than equal rights. I do understand, though, that I don’t want to associate myself with people like that and we won’t be hanging out anytime soon. Young republican gays suck dick, and not just literally.
