My grandma was a very polite, cordial, proper, southern raised woman so she had very distinct ideas of what a lady should act like and she kind of taught me those ideas. And then I felt like it was just as much fun to do the exact opposite of what she told me to do as it was to do exactly what she told me to do. So Jinkx is kind of this egocentric, keeping-up-appearances type of bitchy woman who goes back and forth between being excruciating polite and well behaved and then doing probably the most crass thing you can think of. And recently I realized that that’s my mom.
